You will be hard pressed to find a person who loves animals, especially dog as much as Mac. She worked with our dog Moo a few weeks after we adopted her in 2016. Moo was sweet, but untrained and as a sporting breed, had a ton of energy. I grew up around dogs but my wife had not and was not comfortable using a leash and taking a high energy puppy for a walk. We both work long hours and did not have the time to train her effectively ourselves. We decided to have her train Moo on the basic obedience commands. Not only did Moo’s training go fantastic, Mac provided us constructed feedback after every session on the things we can do to help cement her training. We have zero problems with Moo listening to commands, with or without treats. Moo and Mac are the best of friends and Moo lights up every time she sees Mac. Having her work our dog was the best thing we every did, besides adopting Moo of course! I highly recommend using Mac for all of your dog training needs.
Mac Rider has assisted us as a dog trainer and she has proven to exceptional in this capacity. We have a 138 pound three-year-old Great Pyrenees who is a recue dog. Zoey is very good-natured, but highly territorial dog and has proven very difficult to train. She is very protective of our house, yard and street and does not accept visitors well. This issue has forced us to rarely and selectively allow visitors into our house without us keeping Zoey on a leash or out of sight. Mac worked with Zoey for several months, slowly gaining Zoey’s trust. She was eventually able to give her treats and began walking her. Mac, felt their relationship had matured to the point that she could come into our house, without us present, and dog sit. Mac was 100% correct and Zoey is becoming a changed dog, being much more tolerant of visitors and even more affectionate towards us. We actually had family over for Thanksgiving and Zoey was a perfect social dog! We attribute this transformation to Mac’s exceptional work and recommend her to all.
Just wow. Mac is awesome. Her vibe is so calming that I myself couldn’t help but to chill out around her! Our dog recognized it very quickly. She’s super knowledgeable and patient. We absolutely love that she’s also a pet dietician and can incorporate health into the training. I called around and spoke with several trainers and Mac is by far the most reasonably priced. We’re all really looking forward to the well behaved pet that she’s going to help us achieve
Lolo my French Bulldog was sweet with me but acted out quite often. After meeting with Mac I now know he thought he was the boss which explains why he mounted me and anyone I brought over, peed everywhere, would growl and bark at other dogs and people and bark for extended periods. Mac is a dog whisper, and an excellent trainer. She saved Lolo, when she first came by he tried to lunge and bark at her when she tried to correct him for barking but with just a few corrections he calmed down. She taught me how to have good energy and body language and not put up with his nonsense. Now I truly am a calm assertive pack leader with a respectful dog. He completely transformed and I attribute his transformation to Mac. She also put him on a wonderful species appropriate diet and turned his health around.
I was hired by Michele to train a bulldog named Lolo. He was sweet with his owner but acted out quite often. After evaluating the dog I explained to the owner that he thought he was the boss which explains why he mounted her and anyone she brought over, peed everywhere, would growl and bark at other dogs and people and bark for extended periods. My client began to describe me as a dog whisper, and an excellent trainer. Here is why; during the first session he tried to lunge and bark at me when I attempted to correct him for mounting his owner but with just a few corrections he backed down. I taught the owner how to read his body language, put him in a calm submissive state and how to have good energy and not put up with his nonsense. This is what she had to say about working with me; Mac truly taught me how to be a calm assertive pack leader and communicate with a calm and respectful dog. I also put him on a species appropriate diet which she attributes to saving his life due to him previously having frequent infections.
Mac is a very detailed with her work and informed about dogs and their care. My rescue was very temperamental and had lots of behavioral issues, mac did very well with him and helped me get him straightened out.
Our rescue pit lab mix Lyla was high energy and anxious when we first got her, she was leash reactive and pulled us out the door when she was ready to go on walks. Thank god we found Mac when we did. During the first session Lyla pulled my husband down and Mac grabbed the leash and put our dog into what we know now as a calm submissive state. Without her she could have bolted. She took us back in the house and taught us how to get her calm before we get outside and how to shut down her anxious energy once we start walking. Lyla heels perfectly now, waits calmly at the door and is even calm in the house. Mac was right there is no such thing as a crazy, out of control and untrainable dog. We recommend her training services to all!
I hired Mac to help me train my golden retriever Izzy for psychiatric service dog work. I had hired a trainer previously but it didn’t work out, so I was quite discouraged. Mac was such a godsend. She listened and really cared about my mental health and training experience. She got a thorough understanding of my needs, and task trained accordingly. Her educational course taught me everything I needed to know about laws, and having a service dog. She is affordable, caring and truly has a passion for dogs and their wellness. I’d hire her again if I ever got another dog to set them up for good behavior.
